Establishment of Polyclinics

Referring to the national and International plan towards achievement of the universal coverage of basic health services for all with targeting the most vulnerable population groups as its priority and in line with Masr Bela Marad (MBM) Organization’s mission for providing high-quality healthcare services all over Egypt, MBM Organizations has a dream to establish a Polyclinic in each governorate starting with Upper Egypt ones which will be a milestone towards ensuring social justice in the health sector, especially for disadvantaged groups.

 

Establishment of Intensive Care Units ( ICUs) and Cardia Care Units ( CCUs)

In 2016, an estimated 8.6 million premature deaths occurred in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs) from causes that ‘should not occur in the presence of timely and effective healthcare ’. Improving the quality and availability of critical care is essential for reducing the burden of preventable deaths. Furthermore, in LMICs, critical care costs are often not fully covered by the health/insurance systems, and patients and their families can incur high out-of-pocket expenses. Currently costs severely restrict access to ICU care particularly for the socioeconomically disadvantaged and uninsured.

 

Establishment of Neonatal Intensive care units

Birth of premature babies is one of the main challenges facing the health sector in Egypt, as it suffers from a severe shortage in the number of neonatal intensive care units due to the small number of government hospitals as well as the expensive costs per day of the private hospitals.

 

Establishment of Renal Dialysis centers

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is an enormous public health problem and is linked to the risk of development of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) with their attendant morbidity, mortality, and increased healthcare costs. Progression of CKD to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) can result in the requirement for Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), which incurs considerable healthcare costs and imposes restrictions on patients’ daily living. The number of patients with CKD who would ultimately require renal replacement therapy is increasing at an alarming rate worldwide.
