Egypt Without Disease Celebrates a Night of Giving and Milestones at Its Fourth Annual Ceremony

On February 17, 2025, Egypt Without Disease hosted its annual ceremony at Sonesta Hotel, bringing together government officials, medical experts, business leaders, and partners to celebrate a journey of impact and hope. Under the theme “Giving,” the event highlighted the organization’s ongoing commitment to expanding healthcare services and making quality medical care accessible to those in need.

The night was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Margret Seraphim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Eng. Mona El-Batrawy, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Eastern Region; H.E. Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop, Ambassador of South Sudan; and Major General Dr. Mourad El-Alfy, Pediatric Consultant and Board Member of Egypt Without Disease. They were welcomed by Dr. Lamia Kamal, Chairperson of Egypt Without Disease, along with a select group of physicians, industry leaders, and supporters.

The ceremony celebrated a major milestone—serving more than 300,000 patients in seven years—a testament to the organization’s relentless efforts to bridge healthcare gaps across Egypt. Additionally, Egypt Without Disease unveiled its future plans to expand medical support, ensuring more people receive the care they deserve.

A special highlight of the evening was the participation of volunteers from the EWD Dreamers program, showcasing the power of youth engagement in driving social change. Their ideas and commitment to volunteerism underscored the importance of community-driven solutions in building a more inclusive and sustainable healthcare system.
